Description

Coat Brussels Sprouts in olive oil, salt, and pepper then roast in the oven. They'll come out slightly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. A sprinkling of red pepper chili flakes at the end gives the final touch. Very simple, so if you love the flavor of Brussel Sprouts, this one's for you.

  1. Heat oven to 400 F / 204 C. Trim the ends of the brussels sprouts, and remove any discolored leaves. Place in a large bowl, and toss with the oil and season well with salt and pepper.

  2. Pour the sprouts onto a sheet pan and roast in the oven for 30 to 40 minutes, occasionally shaking the pan to brown evenly, until crisp on the outside and tender within. Sprinkle a little more salt and red-pepper flakes before serving, if desired.
