Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Squeeze ½  of the grapefruit and reserve the juice. Pour ⅓ cup of the juice in a small saucepan. Add the erythritol and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce to ¼ cup and remove from the heat. Whisk in salt, vinegar, and oil.

  2. Cut the fruit of the  remaining grapefruit half away from the peel, cutting off all the white.  Cut away the membranes and chop fine. Stir into the vinaigrette.

  3. Steam the broccoli for 4 minutes and transfer to plates. Spoon the vinaigrette over the florets and serve.

Note

This recipe is best with the grapefruit sauce spooned over fresh. Keep the sauce separate, so if you eat the broccoli as leftovers, warm it up separately. The grapefruit sauce is okay if it gets warmed up with the broccoli, but you lose a lot of the punch and initial taste.
