Description

Almonds give a different texture to these green beans and Parmesan adds a zip.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Steam the green beans in a medium saucepan with a steamer basket or veggie steamer until they're still crisp but beginning to cook, about 2 to 3 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the garlic first and cook, about 1 minute. Next add the green beans and cook stirring continuously. Add the vegetable broth, and cook until the liquid from the broth has evaporated, about 1 more minute.

  3. Stir in the almonds and Parmesan, and cook until the cheese is warm and coats the beans, about 1 to 2 minutes. Serve warm.
